BCLP Opens New Manchester Office in Key Growth Move

International law firm BCLP has opened a new office in Manchester, marking a key milestone in its growth strategy in the city.

The firm, with roots stretching back over 150 years and more than 1,200 lawyers across 32 offices worldwide, has relocated to 40 Spring Gardens at the top of King Street. The move demonstrates BCLP’s ongoing investment in Manchester and commitment to regional expansion.

Since establishing its Manchester presence in 2014, the office has grown to over 100 professionals, strengthened by lateral partner appointments. The teams continue to advise high-profile clients, including The Crown Estate, Landsec, Sixth Street, Barclays, HSBC, Federated Hermes, and BlackRock.

The new office blends modern design with sustainability and wellness-focused features. It is BREEAM-certified and includes energy-efficient systems and amenities aimed at promoting employee wellbeing.

Taslima Salam, office managing partner, said: “I am so proud of the evolution of our Manchester office into a market-leading hub recognised for delivering exceptional client service on high value transactions for some of the firm’s most valued clients. I’m even prouder of the ambitious, collaborative, and inclusive culture we have built together – and will continue to nurture. This move marks an exciting milestone in our growth strategy and signals our deep commitment to our people, our clients and the wider region.”

Jinal Shah, UK managing partner, added: “This relocation underscores the firm’s long-term commitment to the Manchester market, and our ambition to further expand our regional teams. The new modern, flexible workspaces will foster collaboration between both our people and our clients, providing the right foundation for our Manchester team’s continued success.”
