Gateley Wins Place on £136m National ESPO Framework

Gateley has been appointed to ESPO’s Property, Building & Infrastructure Advice & Management Services framework (2664), securing a nationwide role supporting public sector organisations across the built environment.

The framework, valued at an estimated £136m, provides a compliant and efficient route for local authorities, schools and other public bodies to access specialist property and construction expertise. Entry follows a rigorous competitive tender process designed to identify suppliers with proven public sector experience.

Gateley’s appointment spans all eight regional lots – covering the North of England, the Midlands, East of England, South of England, London, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The framework runs initially for two years, with the option to extend to 2030.

In practical terms, it means that specialists from Gateley Smithers Purslow, Gateley RJA and Gateley Vinden will collectively deliver consultancy services across project management, cost management, energy and environmental management, alongside technical and general advisory services.

Mike Boast, commercial director at Gateley Smithers Purslow and ESPO framework delivery lead for Gateley, said:

“We are thrilled to be awarded a place on this ESPO framework. Not only does this appointment demonstrate the breadth and depth of our collective property and construction expertise but also provides an exciting opportunity to expand our support for local authorities and public sector bodies as they deliver meaningful, community-focused projects.”

The win highlights the strength of Gateley’s Property Platform – a fully integrated model that brings together legal advisers specialising in residential and commercial development, construction, planning and real estate disputes with tax specialists, surveyors, architects and engineers across Gateley Capitus, Gateley Hamer, Gateley RJA, Gateley Smithers Purslow and Gateley Vinden.

Rather than operating in silos, the platform offers public sector clients a single, coordinated team capable of supporting the entire property lifecycle – from site acquisition and planning strategy through to development delivery, asset management and long-term value optimisation.

For public bodies under pressure to deliver more with less, that joined-up approach is not just convenient – it is commercially practical.

This latest appointment strengthens Gateley’s national footprint and positions the group to play a central role in shaping public infrastructure and community-focused projects for years to come.
