A mother from Bradford is planning a new home and car after winning £1 million on the The National Lottery Lotto draw.
The woman, in her 50s, matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the Saturday 1 November draw, securing the seven-figure prize. She had bought a Lucky Dip ticket from her local retailer, saying she “simply felt lucky” that day.
The win marks a dramatic shift for the Bradford mum, who said the money would allow her to buy her own house, replace her car and support her daughters and wider family.
“This is life-changing, it will give me the opportunity to do all the things I’ve only ever dreamed of. I can finally buy my own home, get a new car, and really look after my daughters and family properly. It’s wonderful!” she said.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, which operates The National Lottery, said: “What wonderful news for our Bradford winner. Sometimes trusting your instincts really does pay off. We’re so happy to see her turn her dreams into reality with a new home, car, and the chance to treat her loved ones. Congratulations!”
Beyond individual wins, National Lottery players collectively contribute around £32 million each week to community projects across the UK. Since its launch, more than £52 billion has been raised for Good Causes, supporting initiatives from grassroots sport to the arts and heritage.
