Yorkshire-based independent recycling and waste management company Clearpoint Recycling has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Jason Crooks as Group Finance Director and board member.
Clearpoint Recycling specialises in sustainable recycling solutions, sourcing materials locally and selling globally to reduce waste, recover resources, and accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Founded in 2012, the company now manages a diverse range of plastics, paper, metals and glass, ensuring compliant and efficient recycling routes to market across the UK, Europe and deep-sea export markets.
Over the past 12 months, Clearpoint has expanded its international client base, opened a dedicated sales office in Lithuania, and secured new long-term contracts. With a turnover target of £20 million by 2026, Crooks’ appointment is set to underpin the company’s growth strategy.
With more than 14 years of finance experience and over a decade as an ACA Chartered Accountant, Jason brings significant expertise in strategic, commercial, and operational leadership. His career includes time at BDO and KPMG, followed by senior finance roles at Redcentric and IDHL Group, where he managed multi-divisional operations generating around £13 million in revenue and oversaw the integration of three acquisitions.
In his new role, Jason will work closely with Clearpoint’s senior leadership team to strengthen financial governance, embed data-led decision-making, and build infrastructure for scalable growth. He will also support the company’s long-term acquisition and expansion plans.
Mark Garrett, Managing Director at Clearpoint Recycling, commented: “Jason’s track record in supporting ambitious, fast-growing businesses makes him a perfect fit for us. We’re entering an exciting period of expansion, and his strategic and commercial insight will be invaluable in ensuring we not only meet our financial targets but also enhance our impact in the recycling sector.”
Jason Crooks added: “Clearpoint Recycling unites purpose and performance, and I’m excited to bring my financial leadership to an ambitious, values-driven team making a real impact in the circular economy. It’s an exciting time to join, and I’m energised by the challenge of helping Clearpoint achieve its goals.”
Clearpoint Recycling has built its reputation as a trusted recycling partner by focusing on transparent compliance, reliable logistics, and strong customer relationships. Its expertise spans sourcing high-quality recyclable materials, providing secure export routes, and navigating complex regulations such as Pre-Informed Consent notifications.
As the business accelerates towards its growth targets, Jason’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Clearpoint’s mission to connect UK waste producers with global recycling markets and reinforce its role in building a more sustainable circular economy.
