A 29-year-old property investor from Redcar has added a long-standing lettings agency to his fast-growing portfolio.
Jordan Ward, founder of Proinvestment Properties, launched his venture in 2023. In just a year and a half, the business has generated £3.2 million in turnover, and now he’s completed the acquisition of Lettings Express, a firm based in Eston with a 17-year track record.
Proinvestment Properties specialises in helping investors secure profitable rental opportunities across Teesside, with Ward’s team managing purchases, renovations, and sales. His operation has already expanded to 28 employees.
Lettings Express was built up by property veteran Andy Hutt, who has decided to reduce his workload after nearly two decades in the industry. Hutt explained that he wanted to “Slow down” and investigate possibilities in other ventures.
Ward described Proinvestment’s ethos in the following terms, “We pride ourselves on buying, renovating and selling houses quickly and efficiently at the right price for everyone involved.”
“When the opportunity came up to acquire Lettings Express, we felt this would be the right fit to develop the rental side of the company.” Mr Ward said
All existing Lettings Express employees have been retained, something Ward views as essential for stability and continuity.
Reflecting on the company’s rapid rise, the young Mr Ward said “We have achieved a great deal over 18 months in business, but we are not standing still.”
His current ambitions include managing 1,000 properties and expanding his workforce to 50. He added “With all the projects we have ongoing, we are looking to create more jobs to support the growth of the business.”
Ward’s business model is straightforward to grasp, and highly effective when put into practice. He works by purchasing neglected properties, transforming them into high-quality homes, and selling to both local and overseas investors.
“We sell to investors around the world as well as in the local area.” Mr Ward explained
“It’s important to us that we are also giving back to the local community by providing high-quality, affordable homes that are finished to an excellent standard and ready to move into.”
The entrepreneur credits Proinvestment’s success to teamwork.
When asked to elaborate, Mr Ward highlighted the contributions of operations director Jessica Marshall, property manager Danny Harrison, and tradesman Robert Foster — better known internally as “Bob the Builder.”
Ms Marshall, who has been part of the company from its earliest inception, said “I’ve been on the journey with Jordan from the beginning.”
“He has visions in his head that he has to make into reality when anyone else would be saying ‘no, that’s impossible!
“He always finds a way to achieve what he sets out to achieve and the sky is the limit with Jordan at the helm of Proinvestment as he’s always got something else to aim for.”
