Welsh recruitment firm QiStaff expands to support North West English market

Welsh recruitment firm QiStaff is expanding its presence to support the North West England market as demand for senior roles continues to grow.

The plan involves launching a dedicated Executive Search Division aimed at employers across North Wales and the North West of England. The move strengthens the role of the Welsh recruitment firm in the North West England economy, particularly in sectors where skills shortages persist.

The new division is led by a five-strong award-winning team with more than 100 years of combined experience. It will focus on senior appointments with salaries of £35,000 and above, with particular emphasis on manufacturing, engineering and industrial roles, alongside a broader range of professional positions.

As part of the expansion, the Welsh recruitment firm supporting the North West England market has appointed recruitment executive Ceri Cadwaladr.

Ms Cadwaladr brings more than 15 years of experience gained in Chester and London, where she worked with some of the UK’s largest organisations. Her recruitment background includes transport and logistics, production and manufacturing, IT, commerce, charities and retail.

Originally from Rhyl and now living in Prestatyn, she said returning to work in the area was a significant step.

“It is a tough time for the economy but there are still so many opportunities out there,” said Ceri.

“Here in Wales and across the UK, demand remains high, especially with so much work now being done online. That said, QiStaff has always been known for the personal touch, and that’s helped the team navigate the challenges of recent years. I am so happy to be part of the company.”

She added: As a people person, even in today’s digital world you can still find that balance, deliver a first-class service, and build strong relationships. And for me it’s wonderful to be back home working where I grew up.”

Director Evette Easton said the timing of the appointment aligned with the company’s wider ambitions in Wales and the North West of England.

“Ceri is an incredible addition to QiStaff. Her background, knowledge and track record with high-profile clients make her a pivotal member of the team as we take this next step.

“We have continued to support long-standing clients while attracting new ones, especially for senior and specialist roles, so creating a dedicated Executive Search Division is a natural progression.”

Julie Lloyd, also a director, said the growth of the Welsh recruitment firm in the North West England market reflected shifting business needs.

“We’ve seen particularly strong demand in the North West, and we are continuing to broaden our reach,” she said.

“As a bilingual Welsh and English team, we can support clients who need Welsh-speaking candidates and provide interviews and assessments in both languages, which is increasingly important.

“We don’t operate traditional recruitment models. Instead, we collaborate closely with clients to deliver a flexible, tailored and cost-effective service.”

Ms Easton added that research pointed to long-term benefits for employers using specialist recruiters.

“Research and industry analysis consistently reveals organisations using specialist recruiters experience lower staff turnover because the focus is on quality and long-term fit rather than speed or volume. Businesses want that level of care — and face-to-face interaction remains central to achieving it.”

QiStaff, which is approaching 15 years in recruitment, is continuing to build on its reputation in manufacturing and industry while expanding into executive-level markets.

The company says further regional growth is planned as the Welsh recruitment firm continues to develop services for employers across Wales, the North West of England and beyond.
