Northern Telecom acquires South Wales cyber security firm C-STEM

A South Wales-based cyber security firm has been acquired by Yorkshire telecommunications and IT company Northern Telecom, further expanding its capabilities. Legal support for the deal was provided by North East law firm Mincoffs Solicitors.

C-STEM, a specialist in Zero-Trust IT architecture and managed IT services, marks Northern Telecom’s third acquisition this year and the group’s 23rd overall. The firm aims to help businesses reduce operational and commercial risks, avoid lost productivity, and maximise value.

Northern Telecom’s group CEO Jon Graves said: “The group has had a great year and the acquisition of C-STEM gives us new capability and markets which will unlock further growth potential in the business. Chris and the Mincoffs team are way more than suppliers to our business. They have been instrumental in our acquisition strategy and are critical to the growth of our business.”

Chris Hughes, partner in Mincoffs Solicitors’ corporate team, added: “We have worked closely with Jon and the team for a number of years now and it was our pleasure to deliver another successful transaction for the group. Northern Telecom continues to go from strength to strength and this latest acquisition complements the team’s plans for growth and bolsters their IT and cyber security offering. We wish C-STEM continued success within the group and look forward to working closely with Jon and the team on future deals.”
