Holistic Fire Safety Secures Investment to Expand Social Housing Services

Barton-upon-Humber-based Holistic Fire Safety has secured a multimillion-pound investment from Founders Private Capital (FPC), supporting its buy-and-build growth strategy. The company, a provider of passive fire protection services, plans to expand both its service offering and geographic reach within the social housing sector.

Founded in 2019, Holistic Fire Safety works primarily with social housing organisations and local authorities. The recent investment from FPC, a North East-based group of entrepreneurs, is intended to accelerate the company’s national expansion. FPC manages £87m for investment in UK founder-led businesses, typically deploying £2m to £20m per transaction. In addition to capital, the group offers hands-on experience of scaling and exiting businesses.

Will Davidson, chief executive and founder of Holistic, said: “In response to the strengthened building safety regulations and increased emphasis on compliance within the social housing sector, we are seeing a growing need for our specialist services. Our customers are also asking us to support them in areas beyond passive fire protection as they work to improve safety and assurance across their estates. Our vision is to build a national multi-service offering to the social housing market. And FPC will give us the firepower and experience to achieve our ambitions. We look forward to working with Ravi and the team over the coming years.”

Ravi Sharma, partner at FPC, added: “We are really excited to work with Will and the Holistic team going forward. The group is seeing significant year on year growth of 40%+ which is testament to Will’s experience and customer centric approach. We look forward to supporting management in their expansion strategy in the UK. Please do get in touch if you or your clients provide services to the social housing sector and wish to be part of the journey.”

The transaction was supported by a team from Hill Dickinson, led by David Mkhitarian and James Redshaw, with additional input from Matt Boyer and Rachel Faulconbridge. Vendor-side legal advice was provided by Addleshaw Goddard LLP, with Richard Hunt, Caera Loughran, Cameron Allwood, Charlotte Bontoft, Sophie Ovenden, and Acer Carter leading the work, and Martin Griffiths advising on tax. Financial and tax advisory services were supplied by Williamson and Croft, led by Dan Moon, while Armstrong, led by Matt McNally, carried out commercial due diligence.

The investment positions Holistic Fire Safety to respond to the growing demand for compliance-focused services in the social housing sector, while broadening its national footprint and service portfolio.
